Youth band “Piezn”
“The best thing about music is that it brings people together.”
Leonard Bernstein – composer, conductor, pianist and music teacher

Youth band
Our youth band, the “Piezn”, has existed since 2002 and currently has around 30 members.
The name Piezn comes from the fact that the young musicians – also known as mini-musicians – learn to play instruments at a very young age.
Children and young people can join the Piezn after one year of music lessons.
After learning the instruments at the music schools and obtaining the bronze badge, the young musicians are accepted into the band – the prerequisite for acceptance into the band is the bronze young musician performance badge.
The youth band takes part in various concerts every year. The big highlight is the annual hut camp in summer.
Here, the children and young people spend musical and, above all, adventurous days in an alpine hut.
At the end of the hut camp, all the young musicians present a great concert after a creative march-in.

Wind class Pfeffersberg
The Pfeffersberg wind class was launched in fall 2021 by the Pfeffersberg music band and started together with the Tils and Tschötsch elementary school as part of the compulsory elective section. In the compulsory elective subject, primary school pupils receive instrumental lessons from professional instrumentalists.
The aim of the “Pfeffersberg wind class” project is to awaken the pupils’ joy and enjoyment of music and to encourage their interest through individual instrumental lessons and, above all, by making music together.
The development of various skills such as the ability to work in a team, cooperation and self-confident creativity are enhanced. We would like to make this possible for the young musicians with this project, as enthusiasm for musical and qualitative development is of great importance for the continued existence of the band.
The Peter Mayr Pfeffersberg Music Band would like to thank the Südtiroler Sparkasse Foundation for its support in implementing the wind class projects.
